Early to ? 80's base Mustangs had a turbine like wheel/hubcap that was rubber like.

Because rubber never protected anyone from anything. All it does is stand between you and the fun.

Those rubber spoilers are great and imma let you finish, but the 911 Turbo's whale tail was one of the best rubber spoilers of all time.

Kinja'd!!!

Also, I'm picturing in my head a factory painted rubber spoiler, but I can't think of what car (or cars) had them. Anyone? Bueller?

Actually, that's a Mazda 626. I think it's fixed now.

How I didn't think of this buggles my mind. I must have gotten too hung up on 80's midsize cars..

Haha, it could actually look like an Audi B2 from that angle:

Kinja'd!!!

For an untrained eye, that is. I don't doubt your knowledge of old Mazdas and Audis.

He's got an eighties Audi 90, so that could've been a factor.. Oh well, the main thing is that the picture works now.

M6 spoiler has a rubber lip. Does that count?

Kinja'd!!!

I want one of these badly for my E24. Shame they rarely sell for under $400.

Why dont cars have rubber spoilers?

Uhm. Because they're ugly and tacky?

(But just between you, me and...i suppose the rest of the internet, i sort of like them too, despite their tacky ugliness)
